The Blueprint by The Burndown podcast is one of a kind. No really, it is one of a kind. It is the first cigar crafted by the team at The Burndown Podcast and is only available online at Flying Cigar Co.
The Blueprint was developed over 2 years working with Jonas at Blackbird Cigar Co. The Burndown Podcast crew meticulously crafted the perfect blend that would create a deliciously smooth cigar that would live up to the brand they’ve created.
Crafted with a Mexican San Andres wrapper, Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, and an assortment of fillers including an ultra-aged Criollo ’98, The Blueprint’s blend while complex, is perfectly crafted and smooth.

The Blueprint Flavor
The Blueprint is full of flavor and starts out with heavy notes of chocolate and cocoa. As you get further into the cigar, it opens up to hints of pepper on the retrohale.
As you progress into the second third, it develops into delicious sweet chocolate with hints of cedar.
Towards the final third the chocolate remains, but cedar, wood, and earthy tones become the prominent flavors. Overall a complex cigar full of flavor.
The Blueprint has the perfect draw, good resistance, and smoke that tunnels out the cut of the cigar after setting it down.
It has a medium smoke texture that adequately carries the flavor through.
The approximate burn time of The Blueprint is 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Appearance / Construction
The Blueprint has a beautiful appearance, with an oily, chocolate-colored wrapper. It features a unique blue band, with shiny contrasting, gold emblems, and “The Blueprint” written in script writing.
The construction overall is good with a perfect draw, but you may need some burn touchups. We noticed that on a few samples we had some canoeing, but this is easily fixed with a touchup.
Overall The Blueprint is a very good cigar that will become a staple in our humidor. The delicious chocolate notes, and smoothness despite being a medium-full body cigar are what make it special. The Blueprint is full of value, and we definitely recommend giving The Blueprint a try.
