Altadis U.S.A. has unveiled an exciting addition to its Romeo y Julieta brand with the introduction of a limited edition cigar named Book of Love, expected to hit the market in early June.

Measuring 6″ x 52, this toro-sized cigar boasts an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper complementing a Dominican binder and filler. Notably, it incorporates fine piloto tobaccos sourced from the Navarette and La Canela regions, reflecting the rich flavors of the Cibao Valley in the Dominican Republic. The esteemed Tabacalera de García in La Romana handles the production of this premium cigar. Each cigar is priced at $13, and they will be beautifully presented in bright red 10-count boxes designed to resemble books. Although the Book of Love is a limited edition, specific production quantities have yet to be disclosed.

Pedro Ventura, the director of operations, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “The Romeo y Julieta Book of Love presents one of the most delightful blends ever created for the Romeo y Julieta brand. This cigar is centered around the exquisite Dominican Piloto tobacco, sourced from two distinct regions in the Dominican Republic, namely Navarrete and La Canela, which lie in the heart of the Cibao Valley. With its remarkable complexity and medium-to-full body, this Romeo y Julieta cigar promises to satisfy even the most discerning connoisseurs.”

According to the company, shipping of the Book of Love is scheduled to commence on June 5th.

While Altadis U.S.A. introduced this cigar through Cigar Aficionado, inquiries made via email to the company representatives regarding confirmation of the report remain unanswered.
